Are You Ready to Become A Licensed Real Estate Agent?

Do you love house hunting? Can you find the key selling point in any home? Do you enjoy making people's dreams come true? Have you longed for flexible hours? Then you'll enjoy a career as a professional real estate agent.

State Licensing

But how do you gain the experience necessary to become a successful real estate agent? That depends on the state in which you live. Every state has its own licensing process, therefore, it's imperative that you take the time to contact your state's real estate commission and get the truth about licensing procedures. Once you have a better understanding of what your state requirements are, you'll be better prepared to select a real estate school to fit your needs.

Depending on the state you live in, your real estate commission may require any or all of the following:
- Age requirement (Usually 18 years of age.)
- Residency (Do you live in the state?)
- Education (A set number of hours in real estate training, plus pre-license and final exams.)

Visit e-Real Estate License for more information on your state.
- Experience (Sales person experience, college degree, etc.)
- Clean criminal records (No convictions. Possibly expunged convictions.)
